Tracy & Jeremy |Wedding|

So technically this is a "preview"

But

I could NOT pick just 1 favorite.

There are so many parts about the day/night that I loved and I Tracy and Jeremy loved

that how could I tease them with just ONE photo.

On top of that, these guys have such an amazing story of how they met and fell in love

I will do my best to put it to words when I share in a full post. =)

For now, Enjoy!

More to come..

Kristen |Individual, Portraits|

Miss Kristen here is seriously one of my favorite people to practice with.

Why?

Because she's pretty much game for ANYTHING.

What else could you ask for in a best friend?

So last week, I rented a new lens (special thanks to Lens Rentals) for a wedding I was shooting that coming Saturday. ALSO, I rented a flash that I need to play with before the big day. If it weren't for Kristen, I don't know who I would have practiced on.. my husband hates being in front of the camera and I can only make the pup and kitty do so much.

Here are a few photos from our session:

A location I've been dying to go to!

Thank you Kristen!!!

Enjoy =)

-Why rent a lens-
The fact is, lenses are expensive. That makes buying quite a commitment. I wouldn't buy a car without test driving, why buy a lens, flash, or any other camera equipment for that matter, without "test driving." Additionally, some lenses aren't the most practical for everyday situations. I may only need it once or twice.. a lens like that would not be a smart investment - and that's exactly what something like this is - an INVESTMENT!

Dana |Bridal|

I have been dying to share this session with you.

So why has it taken me  this long...

Well, first I had to let the groom marry the beautiful bride,

Then... well... life just got away with me as usual.

Here my favs from the session =)

 *sigh*

=)

Enjoy!

Bridal Session...

I just can not wait to share this session.

I have been friends with this bride's sister for nearly 20 years!! It was an absolute honor when her mom asked me to do her bridal portraits.

Miss Bride here whisked off to Hawaii this weekend, family in tow, to marry her handsome, brave, marine fiancee.

More to come.

Enjoy =)

Heather "The Volunteer"

Those of you who know me, know that I have always been an animal lover. I used to bring home the neighborhood cats because I was not allowed to have one (my parents are both SERIOUSLY allergic). This didn't stop at home. I will never forget finding the newborn kittens with one of my besties, Brittney, taking them back to her house to raise. Naturally, a kitten was the first addition to my own little family once I was out on my own.

Another little note about me... I have this incessant need to help others. I have always been a nurturer, really to a fault.

So pending graduation last December, my mind was already on volunteering. The natural fit - The Plano Animal Shelter. Even more natural, being one of the animal photographers. I don't know why I haven't shared before, but from now on I will share a few of the cuties from my days at the shelter.

Today I worked with the dogs =)

A little piece of my heart breaks everytime I leave these sweet pups (and kitties). You can find all of these guys plus about 100 more HERE - petfinder.com

Next time you're looking for the newest addition to your family, PLEASE consider checking out the Plano Animal Shelter. It's really an incredible facility. I've never seen a shelter like it before.

Love you all =)
