Video (finally) and the Media Sales Institute!!

Second, I want to tell you about what I have been doing the last week and a half. I started the Media Sales Institute at University of North Texas (UNT). UNT has the Center for Spanish Language Media, so the Media Sales Institute here focuses specifically on the fast growing spanish language market making it unique from the other two MSI's in the US (one in Florida and one in Washington DC). The program is an intense 10-day program that prepares the recently graduated or soon to be college grads for the world of media sales.

I do not graduate until December so I was worried that would hurt my opportunities (the last day we meet employers and interview), but I have already taken soooooo much from the program that I am confident I will find a job when I graduate. Who knows, maybe I'll get a job offer now!

Like I said, we had fun...

Final presentation and interviews are tomorrow! I'll let everyone know how it goes. =)

Technical difficulties

Well, the film is done and I've started showing it off, but the file is too big to load anywhere! I have to compress it a lot to put on you tube and I'm  little afraid of what that is going to do to the quality. I'll find out soon and hopefully I'll be sharing it then!

Last two finals are tomorrow.. technically it's just one final and a presentation, but either way last two! I'll be off to Dallas Thursday all ready to celebrate my birthday! 24! I have  date night with Justin Friday and a couples/girls night out at Melting Pot Saturday! I can't wait.. to bad my mom is going to be in China but I'll celebrate my bday with my dad's bday the next weekend as a family. Guess what? On my actual birthday (Sunday, May 16) I will be starting a 10-day workshop in Media Sales at UNT. We'll see how that goes.

Almost free!

So I have just one more week till finals and everything are over! That means a finished video for everyone to watch =D and a whole summer free for me to shoot, work my great mentors, relax by the pool, wedding plan with my mom and of course work... but at my favorite On The Border location in Addison! I can't wait to be back! Only downside, Justin will be here in Lubbock still all summer. Sad day... or I should say sad few monthes. But still, it can't be anything like being across the atlantic ocean in another continent for four monthes. We're still in the same time zone so phone calls/texts are possible, and still close enough to drive for a visit. I better get to bed now! Film finishing in a few hours =)
